USA
The tour is now based in the USA where we are on a road trip! Here in the 'deep south' confederate country!
However when it came to posing with the flag........his common -sense prevailed as he believed it was 'compromising' his position.
and were
more than happy to wave the QPR flag too!
Bridge of Star Princess
Lima Peru
Well
Paddington is a hotbed of QPR support..... and Paddington Bear who came
from darkest Peru so there's the QPR link. OK it's weak!
New Away shirt?
Saw a guy
wearing this shirt on the ship and thought it was best QPR away shirt design
ever…..so asked him if he would take it off and let me wear it whilst Gillian
took a photograph!
Top of the world Chile
We were at
an observatory in the foothills of the Andes and felt at the top of the world.
If only we were top of the league!
Falklands
Sydney....what a great place to show the flag!
Some of Australia's greatest cricket grounds!
You can take the boy out of Acton but not Acton out of the boy!
SOMEONE LIKED MY FLAG!
It disappeared so my son Steve has the challenge of getting a new one sent out! I still have a shirt though so I'll keep the shirt flying rather than the flag! Speakimg of flying this is after just landing in Cambodia.
THE QPR ALAN MACDONALD PLANE
Alan Macdonald plane recognises a player that represented the Club with pride and passion. I was fortunate enough to see most of his career. I was also fortunate enough to have Alan as my manager on one of the charity 'Football Aid' matches at Loftus Road. There is only one QPR plane flying in Asia which is a bloody large place and to be lucky enough to be landing and sitting on the correct side of the plane with a camera defies belief. I still cannot believe it!
FIRST FOOTBALL BRAND SEEN
Have now left India where no one single football shirt was seen from Delhi to Agra to Jaipur.....not one! Just landed at Bangkok airport and that has changed as there is a concession area for Leicester City. I actually think this is the amended logo designed that I was responsible for their 125th anniversary. Naturally I've written to QPR offering my services but as usual nothing gets a reply!
However perhaps Tony Ferdandez does have some influence as the cushions in the lounge at Bangkok Airways lounge are remarkably close to the current short design...but Tony...too many hoops!
BLOODY JOHN TERRY
We are thousands of miles from the UK and yet the Terry/Ferdinand issue makes the pages of the Ragistan Daily News!
West Brom 3 QPR 2
Oh well another loss although I always bet 3-2/2-3 so I assume my son has invested £5 and at 28-1 my balance is good. Another great sight, the abandoned palace and a wonderfully designed Tuk-tuk!
QPR at the Taj Mahal
It had to be done!
QPR IN DELHI
The tour is now based in the USA where we are on a road trip! Here in the 'deep south' confederate country!
and perhaps next season we'll have some high points?!
So we saw a 'Park Ranger' and asked him if I could have a photo with him.....to which his replay was positive.
However when it came to posing with the flag........his common -sense prevailed as he believed it was 'compromising' his position.
Ecuador
The QPR
world tour continues into Ecuador!
Love the Nicaraguan flag!
What a
greeting at the dock….this place loves the blue and white flag……
Bridge of Star Princess
The flag
was not considered a dangerous weapon and so was unveiled on the
bridge……perhaps Harry can 'steer'us away from relegation and stop us from sinking?
New Away shirt?
It is the
Flamenco shirt from Brazil and is brilliant.
QPR 3 Sunderland 1
We were at
day at sea, Steve had given me an update of the scores and from 1-0 down we
came back to win 3-1 so wore the shirt on the ship in the afternoon!
Falklands
P-p-p-picking up 3 points
We really
needed to win at Southampton today which started meeting a guy in a Southampton
shirt as we got off the ship.
But since
we were in Stanley and Stanley Bowles was one of the finest footballers I’ve
ever seen wear the shirt,
perhaps something travelled 8,000 miles to spur on
the current bunch….because we won 2-1 and
p-p-p-picked up three points!
Chelsea badge
I think
this should be the new Chelsea badge……would love to see their fans wearing it!
Ushuhia
This is
basically the ‘end of the world’…..and it would be the end of the world if we
were relegated from the Premier League. But we have the Cape of Good Hope!
Ipenema Beach Rio
Friendly policeman Brazil
He thought
about arresting me for supporting QPR but felt sorry for me!
Sign Brazil
OK…..it’s a
bit of a contrived one but someone somewhere must say Que Pee Air?!
Buenos Aires Argentina
Here at the
Boca Juniors ground where Maradona is the ‘God’ although for us he is the
bloody hand of God!
Montevideo Uruguay
We are
getting around the South American stadiums…this is the Uruguay national stadium….home
of Swarez and Forlan. Uruguay have won the world cup twice, amazing for a
country with only 3 million people!
RIO De JANIERO BRAZIL
SOUTH AMERICA
The flag has gone home and witnessed a couple of games at Loftus Road, all terribly depressing a loss to Milton Keynes in the Cup and draws with Norwich and Manchester City during which time having travelled 25,000 miles to get to see them again they scored........2 goals and that was after we left the Milton Keynes game as at 4-0 down we left in disgust! Now in South America on the second leg of the tour so despite the team and its lack of performance the flag is still proudly presented!
The South America trip starts in the Brazilian jungle at the waterfalls of Iguazo one of the most stunning places on the planet!
Even the police have a sort of hooped car....Ok that's pushing it a little!
Supporting QPR drives you to drink!
St Kilda bathing huts! Sitting with Zack with Lucas hiding by the other hut. Have no idea who the man in the deckchair is!
Great Ocean Road......what's that in the sand? (wonder how many took the picture and only saw QPR when they came to look at their shots later in the day?!
Sydney....what a great place to show the flag!
Some of Australia's greatest cricket grounds!
You can take the boy out of Acton but not Acton out of the boy!
(this was in Perth)
I do not like Joey Barton
Saw this counterfeit shirt. It was very poor quality, frayed the edges had no style and was a complete waste of money.......reminded me of the man himself.
A few sponsor related Asia pictures
When we get to Australia, the potential link in sponsorship terms to QPR will become a lot less, probably non-existent......so here are some final Asia sponsor related shots! Please note I do have other t-shirts!
Had we beaten Everton
I was going to show this picture of the QPR flag sitting proudly on the Everton sponsored Chang elephant. We didn't but it's a nice shot so here it is!
Petronas Tower Kuala Lumpur Malaysia
Gillian took this picture which was difficult given the height of the towers but she did a good job!
A policeman came running up and we thought 'Oh no what have we done!' The policeman shouted at me "I luv Kleens Plark Lanegers" and shook my hand. I couldn't believe it when I saw his name either!
QPR 1 EVERTON 1
Since both Clubs are sponsored by Asian Companies this was effectively Air Asia v Chang Beer! Since QPR again failed to win, I wonder if this trolley sign is relevant to the future of Mark Hughes?!
We MUST be a global brand as I've found a counterfeit shirt for £5 (or stolen as Gillian thinks it's too good a copy in the street market!
Appropriate named store for QPR fans in Bangkok
Spreading the QPR message in the Cambodian countryside!
Although the cow didn't seem particularly excited!
FLAG FOUND!
Gillian didn't look hard enough in our luggage and I guess upon reflection who on earth would want to 'borrow' a QPR flag?! So here are the Hoops near Angkor Wat one of the wonders of the world in Cambodia.
SOMEONE LIKED MY FLAG!

QPR IN DELHI
I didn't realise a tall Stan Bowles one of the greatest players to wear a Hoop was mentioned in India. The Mittals (QPR owners and Indian mega rich) would be very pleased!

WHY QPR?
Having been a supporter for the best part of 50 years I have seen many ups but mostly downs at Loftus Road!
I have remained a season ticket holder despite probably only being able to see 4-5 games this season.
As part of this trip I intend to take photos of me with a QPR flag or shirt in some of the places of interest that we visit. Why?
West Brom to win 3-2 was 25-1. If only we could have won then it would have been 40!
