Kuala Lumper

The expected rain did not turn up and we had yet another glorious day with almost non-stop sunshine. We started the day with a tour guide and a walking tour of a part of KL which was really interesting. We did stuff we'd never do without a guide, walking through parts of China Town that we'd never go to. We saw black chickens (yep we'd never heard of them before!) although sometimes the smell was a little ripe! We never got hassled and it was really interesting to see all the stuff that was being sold.

However I was glad that I was not a chicken!
We also visited a number of shrines both Chinese and Indian that were interesting although the more we learn about religion the more we become convinced that it is completely and utterly stupid. However we wouldn't be as dumb to suggest that 30% of the population of the world that believes that the son of god cut his sons head off so he killed an elephant and put the elephants head on his son's body...are wrong. But we find the concept rather difficult to believe! But the people are lovely and if that's what they believe it....who are we to challenge it!

After the visit to the various temples we then had a traditional Chinese tea which was interesting and theoretically we should now have no illness as the tea master told us that ot would cure almost any illness!

More sites and then a train back to the hotel!
