Bangkok

After changing hotels we are now at the Shangri La adjacent to the River and it is great. We have a river view and it is fascinating to see the amount of traffic on the river.
There is also a nice pool as it is hot and unusual for Bangkok sunny and much needed after reviewing the sites!
Today we were back to be tourists although with no tour guide this was very much ‘KY Tours’! We beat most of the lines by arriving early and going in the opposite direction to the tour groups which works until you meet them in the middle but hey! Why does every Chinese take 100 photos of the same thing? By the way we are wearing long trousers as this is a requirement.

Completely different to the ruins in Cambodia (although the miniature Angkor Wat was interesting) as all is in perfect condition as it was built much later.

It was very hot and sweaty but we soldiered on to the next big attraction ‘Wat Poh’ and again had beaten the coach parties.

This had the ‘reclining Budda’ that was huge!

Back on the river boat to our hotel for a well earned rest. Who said this was a holiday!
