Daintree Rain Forest

Decided to hire a car so we could do our own thing and we had a great day up in the rain forest. Drove as far a roads will allow which is to Cape Tribulation about an hour and a half away....

.........that included taking the car on a rope controlled ferry!

Everywhere very quiet so it made a lovely trip. Stopped off a number of places for walking into the rain forest. Each one was slightly different.

This rainforest is the oldest in the world and seems apart from the trails untouched for millions of years. After 4 walks stopped for a locally made ice cream in the foothills of the mountains.

Did a 'croc cruise' in the afternoon where for half the trip we were the only people on the boat and Keith drove!

Finally stopped at a gorge.  A really great day!
