Apart from the odd hiccup, so far the trip has gone according to plan. Can you believe it is 50 days since leaving the UK? We can't! Anyhow this was a bad day! The weather was again cloudy in Ayers Rock so we cloud bathed at the pool as we had to leave our room. Got to the airport and the incoming flight on landing was hit by a bird. Ayers Rock is not a big airport! Engineer had to be flown in from Alice Springs...but better safe than sorry. We were delayed for 3 hours and 45 minutes (naturally insurance kicks in at 4 hours!). Didn't get to hotel in Port Douglas til 11.15 pm....so here are some more signs that made us smile!
I especially liked the Wellington Car Park called 'Stout' that was full (obviously eating too many cars!)
