We are at the end of the world!
Today we docked in Ushuaia, Argentina after the most amazing
sunrise. Initially there was some problem leaving the ship as there were a few
protestors claiming The Falklands were Argentinian and as we had been there we
shouldn’t be allowed to dock. They set a few wheels on fire but there was such
a police presence that it just meant a
delay.
This is the most southerly city on the planet and somehow
again we managed to bring, for this part of the world, excellent weather!
We were on a trip into the national park and boarded a
narrow gauge railway built by convicts in the 1930’s.
It was very pleasant winding our way through the valley and
woods with magnificent views on both sides.
A coach then brought us back to the ship and we walked
around the town which was very pleasant.
