Although we know that we are only in a tiny part of Los Angeles, this part is just fantastic.
Today we walked for the best part of 5 hours and didn't feel we were in a city at all. We walked around an area where we guess the name 'Venice' originated as it contained a number of canals and walkways between beautiful houses.
The weather was again sunny and springlike, cool in the morning but very pleasant in the afternoon.
We did go to Venice and Muscle Beach which is a totally different world and full of weird and wonderful people (and that's being polite!) but we carried on walking and hot a really interesting area....just look at this piece of art using bricks and plaster
The walk continued and again we were just amazed at how quiet and pretty many of the streets were.
But this is LA so there were some fun buildings too
We ended up back by the beach.....a great day and we are so pleased we stayed here!
