DUNEDIN NEW ZEALAND

An early start as we had booked a trip on a train ourselves rather than through the ship so we had to make our way to the station and we docked 30 minutes from the town. All worked very well and we had excellent seats, it seemed that if you had pre-booked you got priority seating so we had large picture windows.

The trip was a 4 hour round trip through a major gorge and it was magnificent. Beautiful scenery from both sides of the train. We made a couple of photo stops but these shots will not do the terrain and the colours justice.

Returned back to Dunedin in the afternoon and had a walk around the town before heading back to the ship. It was a great day!
New Zealand so far appears to be similar to a bygone age in England.
Departure was fantastic, a very narrow channel with lovely views and colours as the sun went down
