We left Melbourne after breakfast with the Shaw family and this included a loan of Derek’s car! The ride through Melbourne was easy and although the weather started grey, by the time we reached the start of the Great Ocean Road the sky was blue. The drive stars at Torquay where we made our first stop and it was a magnificent start!
waterfalls…..we reached the half way point at Apollo Bay and tomorrow we have the second part of this truly amazing highway.

We saw loads of things and in no particular order….a snake crossing the road, a kangaroo, a car that came off the road
something not right in the sea (there were patches of red)
koalas (at the appropriately named Koala Cove!) and
waterfalls…..we reached the half way point at Apollo Bay and tomorrow we have the second part of this truly amazing highway.
