We are in Nashville having experienced the delights of 2 flights on American Airways, boy are they behind the times! The flight from Hawaii to Dallas which is 7 hours must be one of the longest domestic flights around…entertainment was a small screen that was impossible to see but gin and tonics and sleeping pills worked a treat! A change of planes in Dallas and as soon as we reached the gate the flight was boarding. Would our cases make it?
An hour and a bit later we and they were in Nashville, Music City!
The temperature
has effectively dropped from very warm to very cold, just above freezing
although the sun is shining and the sky a deep blue.
Have never seen so many police
cars but having spoken to an officer there is nothing to fear!
Walked
around the many bars that already had music playing and no doubt we will return
this evening when it will look very different.
Went to a
museum which was very interesting and as always it is good to learn some new
fact and see how life was. This is not a City just about music but about the
history of the Civil War so that’s interesting.
One funny
thing happened, I saw a man riding a horse down the street….and asking locals
they’d never seen it before they hadn't!
When we rounded the corner the guy had got off and
was trying his horse to a parking meter!
