For lots of reasons not relevant to this holiday blog this has been a busy week for us. Today is our last full day in Chalfont so here are a few reminders of life in Chalfont St Peter!
Here is the Church where we were married in 1981.
Chalfont has a few small stores that we try and give our business in order that the supermarkets have a bit of competition. It means that some days it can take 45 minutes to walk the length of the village due to chatting in the smaller shops.
Here is Rob our local butcher!
Chalfont despite being a village has lots of shops including for our American friends a 'Fish and Chip' shop
Although if I tell you it is run by a Chinese family the 'Good Olde English' tradition will feel hijacked!
The Chinese are everywhere...imagine what would have happened if they had more than 1 baby?! For this comment I will be attacked by Katy!
But more than anything Chalfont for its size has lots of pubs.....here are just 3 within 5 minutes WALKING of our house!
The Village has 9 pubs and 5 restaurants of which 3 are Indian!
Tomorrow evening the next part of the adventure starts when we fly to Brazil. We shall miss Chalfont (not the recent weather though!)
