Avast there ye polywogs

It was a day at sea and as we were crossing the equator, King Neptune and his wife arose from the ocean to demand compensation for subjects crossing the line for the first time. A number of passengers were also found guilty of various crimes....gluttony being the main offence!
Once the king was satisfied the ship was allowed to cross the line of the equator.
PS Today we are in Manta, Equador and looking at the map we actually haven't crossed the equator yet!
