Birthday Girl

Today was a special day, Gillian’s 55th birthday! She got cards from the family and many wishes on Facebook which was nice. I had purchased her a card in Chile as I thought it would be nice to have a local touch. It had lovely red roses on the front and I thought it was nice. Gillian thanked me for the ‘Good luck to the Happy Couple in your Marriage’ card as she reads a bit of Spanish!
We started the day in style with a champagne breakfast which is always a good start to the day. There was also a little cake and singing from the waiting staff.

We were at sea and it is now warm so were able to sit outside and read and relax.
The outside of the room had some balloons and a birthday sign added and the Captain whom we met on a trip sent a bottle of wine to the cabin which was nice.

But he also notified the passengers of the special day and laid on a formal champagne reception for Gillian and 2,000 passengers which he didn’t have to do

Gillian was so overwhelmed she was drinking 2 glasses a champagne at a time.

I reckon she scrubs up pretty well for a 55 year old.
QPR tab has been updated so check that out too.
