Chilly in Chile

This is the port that used to be the stopping off point in Chile before going around Cape Horn. It saw a decline in shipping with the opening of the Panama Canal, however it remains a gateway port to the Antartic

Keith was on a tour to a ski resort that used ski lifts to get up the mountain…. so Gillian stayed on the ship! A wise decision as the mountain was in fog so the wonderful vista of the Beagle channel was only in the imagination. It was a nice walk down the mountain though.

Met each other at the pier and had a walk around the town. Highlight of the day was a couple of guys having a scrap in the street…..handbags at 5 paces though!
